Brian Muller on the legacy letter he committed to writing after a REBL Dads Gathering on Necker Island.

Full Reflection

I'd like to thank Derek and Adam, and of course Sir Richard Branson, for having us here on the island. It was a hard decision to be away from my family to come here, but the friendships I've made, I know, are going to be lifelong.

My biggest takeaway was committing to write a legacy letter while I'm still alive — to my stepdaughter, my kids, my brother — to let them know how proud I am of them and what I love about them now, while I'm here, but also to leave something behind when I'm gone.

I've got a lot of things I'm committing to. We're starting an accountability group between four or five of us guys, and I can't wait to see where it goes with our kids. I'm really grateful to be here, and honestly sad to go home tomorrow — but you can't live on this island forever, right? Thank you for having me.
